Getting ready for 2023.

2023 will be a very busy year for me. I will be 40 and one of the youngest on my school year to turn the big 40.

When I look at what would have been the average life span for humans, I would have been classed old by 40.

I would have been a grandmother or even a great grandmother, passing on my life skills to the younger generation.

"The old witch" in the village/town so to speak.

Now with people living in their 100's, 40 is not really that old?

Yet when I think about it I have almost lived longer than my farther who passed away in in his 50's and way over half the age of my living mother.

So it is sad that when I think about what I wanted to achieve on my life by 25 seams so long ago.

I one thing that I have never done is married. (a part form when I worked in Scotland and was asked to be in a weeding fair photo shoot.)

I have been engaged, but with out any follow though, I did not even get an engagement ring.

So what will 2023 have in store for me.

I time single mum or three children under 10?

Why not follow my year and find out!

In the past when I use to model I did not always think about location and setting.

One thing that I found in the past when I looked at signing up with a modelling agency was how much money they wanted you to pay to be on their books with no guarantee of paid work.

One thing that they did not like seeing where what they call "Studio Photos"

They will not say why, yet what I have found is that they have wanted you to pay for their photos that may or may not still be studio taken,

I have used the above three images to show why they may not wish to use them. The lighting in all of them is not that good and I posed myself in these images that have not been edited.

When I have worked for other people in the past it is important to know that they are aiming for in the photo and what story is it trying to tell.

But then you have to remember that the camera can lie and today a lot of photos are edited and photo shopped. This is something that I personal am not a fan of unless it is really need to do so.

This is an original image that was taken of me at an event over 10 years ago. If this had been my wedding day I would have wanted the back ground to be better.

One thing that I have noticed with wedding photos is how at times they are poorly thought out and is something people need to think about.

What a lot of people are doing know is offering pre wedding photos or photos after the wedding day.

That way you can get the photos you want.

An other way of doing this would be to check with the venue to find the best places to take photos.

Or look at hiring back drops that could be used to take photos of on the day.

Or hiring a green screen so you can pay to have the photos edited and photo shopped like I have done with the image below.
