Yet when one is looking at raising money for any cause their are always  a few things that one much think about.

So again I am trying to answer these questions.

I recently watched the film  "Bohemian Rhapsody"

Who in the movie chose to do a live concert for "FREE" call "LIVE AID."

Live Aid was a multi-venue benefit concert held on Saturday 13 July 1985, as well as a music-based fundraising initiative. The original event was organised by Bob Geldof and Midge Ure to raise further funds for relief of the 1983–1985 famine in Ethiopia, a movement that started with the release of the successful charity single "Do They Know It's Christmas?" in December 1984. Billed as the "global jukebox", Live Aid was held simultaneously at Wembley Stadium in London, attended by about 72,000 people, and John F. Kennedy Stadium in Philadelphia, attended by 89,484 people.^[1][2]

Why am I doing this?

I am raising £1,000 for Ovacome https://www.ovacome.org.uk/. I know that may seam like a lot of money yet when you break it down it is not that much and will sadly only cover a few things that like any Charity that they need to stay open.

In Nuneaton one thing that we were known for was Charity Shops and £ Lands.

Yet during Lockdown due to Covid 19.  Around 4 Charity Shops closed in Nuneaton  and countless business too.

Sadly now in 2023 things still have not improved due to the cost of living crisis.

The event for me is a NOT FOR PROFFIT event and the cost that I have worked out and are listed on my events page with Eventbrite 

That way by me paying what money is raised direct on the day/night with the exception of what Eventbrite's "Handling Fees all money raised will go to Ovacome.

I set it up to show students a way to showcase their work in the 21st Century by using an online platform.

I found setting this up very time consuming and a really challenge to do.

The site is self is pretty straight forward to use, but very time set by set way to use.

• To set up a Zazzle account will take you about a week to achieve.

Planning 1st July 2023

 

I can not belive that is it almost the end of January 2023 and before I know It I will be 40.

I have so much that I would like to do and when you think about it, it only feels like a "heartbeat away!"

I have posted up all over the house information about what I am planning, so that my children know nothing.

On the 1st July I will be combining my birthday with my son's along with aiming to raise money for Ovacome.

This year I am aiming to raise money for Ovacome.

Out of all of the charities local and national one may ask why this one?

Why ovarian cancer and not a charity that may help and support my family and loved ones now?

Why not a charity that I already use for support and guidance?
 

The truth is that I support a number of charities every year in one way or an other, so why am I looking at raising money for Ovacome?

The only answer is because I can.

Over the next seven months I will be planning my 40th and would like to raise money for Ovacome and is how much a can do so by the 4th July 2023.

I am also looking at hosting a local charity event on the 1st July to help raise money for Ovacome and also to promote awareness.
